Crookes Brothers follows an irrigated cropping strategy for the large majority of its farming operations. Having irrigation ensures that supplementary irrigation can be supplied during the dry period which is particularly important at specific stages in crop development

Accurate forecast of climate change is notoriously difficult. To reduce the risk, Crookes Brothers have diversified by identifying a variety of crops which are grown in climatically optimal locations.
